Be Aware of Email Scams

Please be aware of a social engineering scam targeting our staff. Scammers will use a fake email address that appears to be from someone at the Lartey Wellness Group, including a staff member's name and profile picture, to deceive new hires.

The scammer's request will be framed as part of a purported employee recognition program, asking a staff member to purchase multiple gift certificates (Apple, Visa, Target, Etc) and then provide them photos of the barcodes and scratch-off codes necessary to activate the cards.

We regret that these scams exploit the good nature of one of our staff members.

We will continue to review our electronic communications and business practices to ensure we are doing everything necessary to prevent unfortunate incidents of this nature.

If you have received a similar email, please forward frank@larteywellness.com a copy immediately, and do not respond to the original email you received. If you have already responded to such an email, please let me know this, as well.

Please be aware of the following important points: 1. **Verify Email Addresses**: Always carefully inspect the actual email addresses associated with any communication that seems out of the ordinary. Do not rely solely on the display name or profile picture.

2. **No Purchase Requests**: Understand that you will never be asked to make purchases of this nature on behalf of the company. Any such requests are fraudulent and should be reported immediately.

3. **Stay Vigilant**: If you receive any suspicious emails, do not respond or engage. Instead, report them to our IT department right away for verification.

We take these matters very seriously and are working diligently to prevent such incidents in the future. Your awareness and caution are crucial in helping us maintain a secure environment. Thank you for your attention to this important matter.
