PRP Process

Most of our PRP clients are also our clients for therapy/med management. All clients follow the process outlined below to participate in PRP.

  1. Schedule an intake with a licensed therapist. (Can be within OR outside of LWG)

  2. After an intake has been completed, their therapist refers the client for PRP.

  3. LWG submits referral to Medicaid. It takes about 14 days to know if a client was approved/denied for PRP. If approved, children/adolescent clients are approved for either 3 months or 6 months. All adult clients are initially approved for 2 months.

  4. Once approved, the client is scheduled for an intake with our Rehab Specialist (Kesta) and is assigned a Mentor/Rehab Counselor.

  5. Kesta completes the intake and develops a treatment plan for the client. Rehab Counselors will actively use the treatment plan to help the client achieve their goals and to track the progress they're making towards achieving their goals.

  6. Rehab Counselor's contact the client to introduce themselves and to set up sessions for the month.

  7. Client participates in PRP sessions with their assigned Rehab Counselor.

Other Important Requirements:

  • All PRP clients are required to participate in therapy sessions at least once per month to remain eligible for PRP.

  • All adult clients are initially approved for 2 months. During the beginning of the second month, a DLA-20 assessment should be completed by the Rehab Counselor. Medicaid requires us to submit this form when getting the client reapproved for the program when their initial approval expires.
